8.14.3 CPU Socket Constraint Restrictions

8.14.3 CPU Socket Constraint Restrictions
CPU socket constraints have the following restrictions.
  1. If a domain is migrated, CPU socket constraints are also cleared in the same way as physically assigning a specified CID or PA.
  2. Execute the ldm set-socket command with the --restore-degraded option to restore the CPU socket constrains.
  3. Recovery mode ignores the CPU socket constraints of failed CPU chips.
  4. The ldm init-system -f command ignores the CPU socket constraints of the control domain.
  5. Automatic replacement of failed CPUs can only work in the specified socket resources. If there is no free CPU in the specified sockets, the failed CPUs are isolated but not replaced.
