16.1.2 Features of Firmware Update


16.1.2 Features of Firmware Update
The XCP firmware update has the following features.
  1. A new firmware update can be performed without powering off a physical partition. The physical partition must be powered off and on when updating the CMU firmware.
  2. If a part has been replaced using the maintenance menu in a building block configuration, the firmware on the replacement part is automatically matched to the version of the firmware in operation.
Note - For details on the automatic matching of firmware versions, see "16.7 Firmware Version Matching with Parts Addition/Replacement."
  1. Firmware can be updated to the latest firmware with no effect on other physical partitions even if the system consists of multiple physical partitions.
