8.5 Initial Diagnosis of the SPARC M12-2S to be Added

8.5 Initial Diagnosis of the SPARC M12-2S to be Added
Here, an initial diagnosis is performed on the added SPARC M12-2S.
Note - For system-stopped expansion, perform the procedure in "6.7 Performing a Diagnosis Test," not this procedure.
  1. Execute the testsb command to perform a diagnosis on the hardware.
For XX-Y, specify the PSB number of the diagnosis target. XX=BB-ID and Y=0 are the fixed settings.
An initial diagnosis of the PSB that is the diagnosis target and confirmation of connected I/O are performed.
  1. <‌Description of options specified>‌
-v: Displays the detailed message of the hardware diagnosis.

-p: Displays the storage connected to SPARC M12-2S.

    -s: Displays the device tree.

    -y: Automatically responds with "y".
XSCF> testsb -v -p -s -y XX-Y
  1. The following example performs a diagnosis for the added BB#01.
XSCF> testsb -v -p -s -y 01-0
Initial diagnosis is about to start, Continue?[y|n] :y
PSB#01-0 power on sequence started.
  1. For a command display example and a check of the results, see "6.7 Performing a Diagnosis Test."
  1. Perform a diagnosis to check whether there is any connection error in the connected cables.
  1. Execute the diagxbu command to check the cables.

-b: XX specifies the added BB-ID.

-p: YY specifies the PPAR-ID of the incorporation destination.

-t: YY specifies the BB-ID of every SPARC M12-2S contained in the PPAR of the incorporation destination.
(1) The PPAR that is the incorporation destination is running (active expansion)
XSCF> diagxbu -y -b xx -p yy
In the following example, a diagnosis is performed between the added BB#1 and the PPAR#0 of the incorporation destination.
XSCF> diagxbu -y -b 01 -p 00
