2.4 Confirming Rack Specifications


2.4 Confirming Rack Specifications
Use a rack that meets the specified conditions for using the SPARC M12-2S with the 1BB configuration or using the SPARC M12-2S with direct connections between chassis.
In the case where the SPARC M12-2S is used with connections via a crossbar box, you need to order the expansion rack in which the crossbar box is to be mounted.
There are two types of expansion racks depending upon the expandability, namely expansion rack 1 and expansion rack 2. You need to order expansion rack 1 for a configuration of up to 8 units, and further add expansion rack 2 for a configuration of 9 to 16 units.
