7.14.2 Saving XSCF Setting Information
Save XSCF setting information.
This section describes procedures for making settings via a network to save XSCF setting information and for saving the setting information to a USB device.
For details on how to restore the setting information, see "10.10 Saving/Restoring XSCF Settings Information" in the Fujitsu SPARC M12 and Fujitsu M10/SPARC M10 System Operation and Administration Guide.
  1. Specifying the target directory and saving the setting information via a network
  1. Specify the target directory and the output file name, and execute the dumpconfig command.
XSCF> dumpconfig ftp://server/backup/backup-sca-ff2-16.txt
  1. Confirm the identification information at the beginning of the saved configuration file when the data transfer has completed.
  1. Saving the setting information to a USB device at the master XSCF
  1. Connect a USB device to a USB port on the XSCF unit panel (rear panel) of the master XSCF.
  2. Specify the name of the output file for the local USB device on the XSCF, and execute the dumpconfig command.
XSCF> dumpconfig file:///media/usb_msd/backup-file.txt
  1. After the data transfer has completed, remove the USB device from the USB port.
  2. Confirm the identification information at the beginning of the saved configuration file.

The saved configuration file has the following format:
- File name: User-specified name

- File format: base64 encoding text
