6.3 Mounting a Link Card or PCIe Card on the System


6.3 Mounting a Link Card or PCIe Card on the System
This section describes the procedure for mounting a link card or a PCIe card of the PCI expansion unit on the system.
The card is mounted on the system using either of the following methods: Using PCI hot plug (PHP) and using physical partition dynamic reconfiguration (DR).
Note - Mount the link card in the PCI Express (PCIe) slot of the SPARC M12-1/M12-2/M12-2S/M10-1/M10-4/M10-4S. The procedure for installing the link card is the same as that for installing a PCIe card in the SPARC M12-1/M12-2/M12-2S/M10-1/M10-4/M10-4S.
