Problems Resolved in Version 1310 of the PCI Expansion Unit Firmware
The following table lists the problems resolved in version 1310 of the PCI expansion unit firmware.
RTI No. | RTIF2-170214-001 |
Model | SPARC M10-1, SPARC M10-4, SPARC M10-4S |
Description | When the physical partition (PPAR) connecting the PCI expansion unit is powered on, a link card error may be erroneously detected. [Error message example] XSCF> showlogs error Date: Jun 03 19:09:19 JST 2016 Code: 80000480-009d01009fff00d500-11000057d000000000000000 Status: Alarm Occurred: Jun 03 19:09:16.185 JST 2016 FRU: /BB#0/PCI#9/LINK,/BB#0/PCI#9/LINK/MGCBL,/BB#0/PCI#9/PCIBOX#0000/LINKBD,* Msg: TWI access error |
Workaround | There is no effective workaround. [How to restore] Power off and then on again the PPAR connected to the PCI expansion unit. |
RTI No. | RTIF2-170209-001 |
Model | SPARC M10-1, SPARC M10-4, SPARC M10-4S |
Description | In either of the following cases, in the PCI expansion unit, the POWER LED of the PCIe slot where the PCIe card is not mounted goes on by mistake. - The SPARC M10-4S (system board) connected to the PCI expansion unit was added by the addboard(8) command using dynamic reconfiguration (DR) of physical partitions (PPARs) in a system having a building block configuration. - The PCIe root complex connecting the PCI expansion unit was dynamically added/deleted using the ldm command of Oracle VM Server for SPARC. |
Workaround | There is no effective workaround. [How to restore] Execute any of the following actions to bring the state of the POWER LED of a PCIe slot back to normal. - Reboot Oracle Solaris. - Power off the PPAR. - Incorporate a PCIe card using PHP |
