A.2.2 Checking the contents of logs
Use the showlogs command to check error logs.
showlogs command
The showlogs command is a command that displays the specified log. By default, the command displays the log in chronological order from the oldest time stamp. You can specify the following logs.
On individual systems, specify the type of log to display from the collected logs. You can specify one of the following:
  1. error: Error log
  2. power: Power log
  3. event: Event log
  4. monitor: Monitoring message log
On individual chassis of the SPARC M10 systems, specify the type of log to display from the collected logs.
  1. env: Temperature history
On individual physical partitions (PPARs), specify the type of log to display from the collected logs. You can specify one of the following:
  1. console: Console message log
  2. panic: Panic message log
  3. ipl: IPL message log
Example: Display example where an XSCF cable is incorrectly connected
XSCF> showlogs error
