A.2.3 Checking information on a component where a failure or degradation occurred
Use the showstatus command to check information on a degraded unit among the FRUs composing the system.
showstatus command
The command displays information on the unit where a failure has occurred and on units on upper layers, among the field replaceable units composing the system. The mark indicating the status (*) appears at the beginning of the line of the displayed unit. Status displays the unit status.
- Status: Description
- Faulted: Non-operational status of the relevant component due to failure
- Degraded: A part of the unit has failed, but the unit continues in operation.
- Deconfigured: The unit including its components on the lower layers is in a normal condition, but it has been degraded due to the influence of a failure or degradation of another unit.
- Maintenance: Maintenance work in progress. The replacefru command is running.
Example: Display example where the memory on a motherboard unit is degraded because of a failure
