1. Function Overview

  PRIMEQUEST REMCS Option (fjsvrmo) is a basic system application
  for maintenance of PRIMEQUEST server system.
  When fjsvrmo is installed, the following features are enabled.
  To indicate the collected information to a REMCS center immediately,
  an investigation term could be minimized.

  - Software information installed in a partition is indicated to a REMCS center.
  - OS minidump is indicated to a REMCS center, when OS Stop Error is occurred.


2. Applicable Systems

    Microsoft Hyper-V Child OS is not supported


3. Installation and Uninstallation

    fjsvrmo is installed using ServerView Installation Manager(SVIM).
    SVIM is a setup support tool that installs drivers and high-reliability
     tools needed by the OS on the system.
    About the features and the detail of installing sequence of SVIM,
    please refer to ServerView Installation Manager manual.

    This section explains that how to install and uninstall fjsvrmo manually, 
    and the settings after the installation.

    When installing or uninstalling fjsvrmo, please logon as the user that has 
    an administrator authority.
    On the other users, it will be failed.

    fjsvrmo is distributed as a single installation package.
    The package is named as below:

    - PRIMEQUEST_REMCS_Option_Win.exe

      (These parameters also appear in subsequent sections and have the same
      definitions)

    Note) It may be required for OS reboot after fjsvrmo installation.

3.1 Manual Installation

    The descriptions in this section assume that the fjsvrmo package file
    (PRIMEQUEST_REMCS_Option_Win.exe) has already been saved
    in a work directory.
    Perform this operation with the Administrator authority.

    1) Open the working directory using Explorer.

    2) Run the PRIMEQUEST_REMCS_Option_Win.exe and follow
       the instruction on the screen.

    Note) When installing fjsvrmo in the partition which fjsvrmo of the same version is
          already installed, fjsvrmo will be uninstalled.

3.2 Manual Uninstallation

    Perform this operation with the Administrator authority.

    Select and remove "PRIMEQUEST REMCS Option" using the
    "Programs and Features" function in Control Panel.
    When fjsvrmo is uninstalled, all files under 'fjsvrmo installation folder' are deleted.
    So, please save the files if necessary, before uninstall fjsvrmo.
    'fjsvrmo installation folder' can be confirmed by 'Environment Variables' as
    'fjrmo_INSTALLPATH'.

3.4 Manual Updating fjsvrmo

    The descriptions in this section assume that the fjsvrmo update file
    (PRIMEQUEST_REMCS_Option_Win.exe) has already been saved in
    a work directory.

    Perform this operation with the Administrator authority.

    1) Open the working directory using Explorer.

    2) Run the PRIMEQUEST_REMCS_Option_Win.exe and follow
       the instruction given by it.

    Note1) It may be required for OS reboot after fjsvrmo update.


4. To start and stop fjsvrmo

    fjsvrmo can be started in the following two ways:

  - Automatic starting at Operation System boot
    fjsvrmo starts automatically during Operating System boot in partition.
  - Manual Start/Stop by Services of Administrative Tools.

    Select and start PRIMEQUEST Environment Control Service.
    Select and stop PRIMEQUEST Environment Control Service, PRIMEQUEST REMCS Option Service.


5. User Interface

    fjsvrmo provides CLI in partition.


5.1 fjsvrmo CLI Operations

    fjsvrmo provides a CLI in each partition for the following functions:

    - fjsvrmo start/stop command
    - fjsvrmo troubleshooting data collection command


6. Trouble Shooting
    When collecting fjsvrmo information for troubleshooting, please perform the
    following command with the Administrator authority.

7. Notes

    Notes for using fjsvrmo 1.0.0.x for Windows2008/2012
    (PRIMEQUEST_REMCS_Option_Win.exe) are as follows:

7.1 If the following registry is set under 20000 (this mean 20 seconds),
     Windows OS is possible to become hung-up in OS Shutdown.
    So please set more than 20000 without fail.(Default value: 20000)

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WaitToKillServiceTimeout
    (This registry determines how long the system waits for services to stop
     after OS shutdown.)

7.2 Please select the drive which is formatted by NTFS, when install fjsvrmo.
     It is possible not to start up fjsvrmo normally, when installed to the drive
     letter except NTFS.


8. Restrictions

    None.
