Fibre Channel Help

Detailed information about the selected fibre channel is displayed. This page can be used to clear the controller status.


PCI Device Information

Item Description
Unit Unit identification name
Status Hardware status of the fibre channel. This does not include the status of connected individual devices:
- OK: Operating normally
- Error: Serious problem such as a hardware failure has occurred.
- Warning: A problem will possibly occur.
- Unknown: PCI device status information is not available.
A check box is provided and can be used to clear the status.
Device Name Name that combines the vendor name and device name
Device Class(hex) PCI Device class ID
Seg/Bus/Dev/Func Segment number, bus number, device number, and function number
Vendor ID(hex) PCI Vendor ID
Device ID(hex) PCI Device ID
PCI Device Version(hex) Version number of the PCI device
WWN(hex) World Wide Name

Information about devices connected to controller

Item Description
Unit Unit identification name
Status Integrated hardware and predicted fault status of individual devices connected to the fibre channel:
- OK: Operating normally
- Error: Serious problem such as a hardware failure has occurred.
- Warning: A problem will possibly occur. This includes S.M.A.R.T.
- Unknown: Device status information is not available.
A check box is provided and can be used to clear the status.

Channel/Target ID/LUN The SCSI channel, SCSI target ID, and SCSI Logical Unit Number of the device
Disk Capacity Disk capacity of the device.

Operation

Item Description
Clearing the hardware status of the fibre channel
  1. Select the [Status] check box in [PCI Device Information] (see the Note below), and click the [Status Clear] button.
    The [Confirm Settings] dialog box opens.
  2. Click the [OK] button in the [Confirm Settings] dialog box. The hardware status of the fibre channel is cleared.
  3. Click the [Return] button to go back to former screen.
Note: Click the [Select All] button to select all check boxes, and click the [Release All] button to un-select all check boxes.
Clearing the hardware status of a device connected to the fibre channel
  1. Select the [Status] check box in [Information about devices connected to controller] (see the Note below), and click the [Status Clear] button. The [Confirm Settings] dialog box opens.
  2. Click the [OK] button in the [Confirm Settings] dialog box. The hardware status of the device connected to the fibre channel is cleared.
  3. Click the [Return] button to go back to former screen.
Note: Click the [Select All] button to select all check boxes, and click the [Release All] button to un-select all check boxes.
Leaving the status of the controller as is
  1. Click the [Return] button to go back to former screen.
