• Fujitsu Laboratories is created through the merger of R&D sections previously managed by separate technical divisions.

1968

• Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. is spun off as a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited.

1983

• Additional laboratories are completed in Atsugi, Japan.

1993

• Fujitsu Laboratories of America, Inc. is established in California, U.S.A.
• Additional laboratories are completed in Akashi, Japan.

1997

• Research organization is set up within YRP (Yokosuka Research Park), Yokosuka, Japan.

1998

• Fujitsu Research and Development Center Co., Ltd. is established in Beijing, China.

2000

• Research Organization is set up within Fujitsu Akiruno Technology Center, Akiruno, Japan.

2001

• Fujitsu Laboratories of America, Inc. College Park is established in Maryland, U.S.A.
• Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe Ltd. is established in suburb of London, U.K.
