Environmental communication
Research & development work on environmental technologies of Fujitsu Laboratories is introduced through exhibitions and other events held both inside and outside of Fujitsu.
- Fujitsu Laboratories Forum is held for employees of Fujitsu group of companies.(Continuation Activities)
Since the autumn of 2007, Fujitsu Laboratories forum is held to introduce R&D activities of Fujitsu Laboratories to the employees of Fujitsu group of companies. In the 2008 spring forum, our environmental technologies that can contribute to the Fujitsu medium-term environmental vision called "Green Policy 2020" and the project to reduce environmental burdens called "Green Policy innovation" were introduced by setting a new section named "Green technology". We used Forest Stewardship Council (FTC) certified papers, soy based ink and a water-free printing method for brochures distributed at the exhibition. This practice would help to reduce CO2 exhaust and toxic liquid wastes that generate during printing.
Old Activities (past activities)
- We participated the Environmental Festival "Ken-O-Hatsu" (Environmental Festival from the central region of the prefecture) that was sponsored by the general administration centre, central region of Kanagawa prefecture.（January, 2009）
Fujitsu laboratories exhibited "color electric paper (FLEPia)" and "Environmental effect evaluation method" as our environmental technologies, and in addition, introduced "Green Policy 2020" and "Green Policy Innovation" as environmental activities of the Fujitsu group. Also, we were able to receive the interest of a large number of visitors by arranging an "ECO quiz" with keywords on the content of exhibits, and giving them (the winners) environmentally friendly souvenirs.
