Community Solutions Unit

Focusing on the educational field, especially national and regional public institutions, and universities, we provide nationwide support using advanced ICT and abundant experience and know-how.
We also use our accumulated technical experience (Infrastructure, middleware, Microsoft products, mobile, DWH, Web) to help customers in various fields. We are widening our horizon and range of activities to include global business.

  • Local government solutions utilize ICT to improve services for citizens and also increase the user-friendliness and efficiency of local government offices. FJQS' solutions are divided into regional support solutions and nation specialized solutions. Accordingly, FJQS provides nationwide support.

    FJQS provides ICT solutions for local governments. We provide total solutions that cover the entire lifecycle from system proposals to system development and even maintenance.

Government and Public Works Solutions

  • With central government agencies as customers, FJQS proposes, creates, and oversees operation of backbone and internal systems. As the quality of operations and prompt delivery are extremely important, we have adopted a flexible structure to enable us to cope.
    Public office systems are large social systems, and therefore the scale of projects is also large. We coordinate our activities with Fujitsu Limited and other Fujitsu group SE companies.
    We approach projects from a number of viewpoints, including job analysis, system infrastructure design, application development, and project management.

Educational Solutions

  • We provide a wide range of solutions such as education and research system development, office work systems, and the like for universities, junior colleges, and tertiary colleges throughout Japan. In providing these systems we provide services such as system consultancy, deployment plan support, system development, and operational support. Lately, systems able to reflect the declining birthrate are gaining attention.
    In the field of office work at universities, FJQS is developing systems for customers based in the Tokyo metropolitan area which use Fujitsu's latest office system the "Campusmate" series. The related software package for searching syllabuses, 'Campusmate/Syllabus' was developed here at FJQS.
    The 'Research Funding Management System' which is used to manage scientific research funding, was also developed here at FJQS and is being provided to universities nationwide.

  • Microsoft SI Services / QB Solutions are a group specializing in Microsoft products, and provide (1) SI services, (2) Infrastructure support services, and (3) Support Center Business (Images 1 and 2).
    • <SI Services>
      ・ In the SI services, SEs with intimate knowledge of Microsoft products consult with customers to design and introduce systems involving combinations of Microsoft products that provide the functions needed by the customers. Also, we are currently promoting global business based on Microsoft products which are the global standard.
    • <Infrastructure Support Services>
      ・ The infrastructure support services perform activities from introduction design, installation and even settings for OS (Windows, Linux, and Unix) and middleware.
    • <Support Center Business>
      ・ The expert staff of the support center business use their detailed knowledge to handle various enquiries related to OS (Windows) and Microsoft products. They also provide services covering the lifecycle of systems, ranging from introduction to operation.

  •  Our support center deals with problems and needs related to Fujitsu products, with customers ranging from people using personal computers to system administrators at large corporations.
     As well as support for customer system operation and maintenance, system development can also be performed. Experts on each product provide swift responses, ensuring the safety and stability of operations of our customers' systems.
     When trouble does occur, staff with extensive experience and knowledge provide accurate countermeasures and act in coordination with Microsoft and other partner companies when dealing with urgent or serious trouble. This guarantees a rapid, effective response.

  • Staff with detailed knowledge of system environments work with Fujitsu consultants to provide customers with effective systems that enable them to acheive their business goals. We provide detailed system development, operational support, and also database tuning to increase the availability of systems.
     As well as providing effective countermeasures to deal with customer's problems and needs our Fujitsu consultants, with extensive knowledge and experience regarding Microsoft products, actively propose methods for improving the availability customer systems.
    FJQS also provides a range of paid services to answer customer needs for processes ranging from system design, development, and operation to maintenance.
