Fujitsu Semiconductor Limited designs and manufactures semiconductors, providing highly reliable, optimal solutions and support to meet the varying needs of its customers. Products and services include ASICs/COT, ASSPs, power management ICs, and flash microcontrollers, with wide-ranging expertise focusing on imaging, wireless, automotive and security applications. We also drive power efficiency and environmental initiatives.
Headquartered in Yokohama, we established as a subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited on March 21, 2008. Through its global sales and development network, with sites in Japan and throughout Asia, Europe, and the Americas, we offer semiconductor solutions to the global marketplace.
In order to help our customers today and respond to the demands of the next-generation market with our cutting-edge technologies, Fujitsu Semiconductor is focusing our capabilities on the four areas that demand the most revolutionary technologies: mobile, automotive, video equipment, and high performance (industrial equipment). We are supporting innovations in each of these fields through our LSI integration capabilities. For example, we provide high-frequency technology and encryption technology to support next-generation mobile environments, dashboard environments and advancements in in-vehicle networks to accelerate the intelligence of vehicles; solutions for audio-video equipment to bring new experiences of images; and high-performance supercomputers and optical transmission devices for upgrading social infrastructures.

Fujitsu Semiconductor provides infrastructure and terminal solutions for next-generation high-speed wireless communication such as LTE, 4G in order to realize an advanced mobile network society in which networks can be accessed anywhere through a wide array of devices. In addition, we are working on wireless sensor networks and smart grids. Moreover, we are focusing on the greatest challenge of mobile devices, which is power management to extend the battery operating time. We are also aiming to reduce the power consumption of mobile devices through more efficient and lower powered equipment such as power supply ICs, LEDs, and microcontrollers.

In the automotive field, where there are continual advances in driving, safety and environmental performance, Fujitsu Semiconductor is developing graphics LSI solutions for next-generation dashboards that display a variety of highly detailed information. In terms of in-vehicle networks, we have developed the LSI for a network solution for information and video in addition to the CAN and FlexRay control systems. Together with in-vehicle equipment manufacturers and vehicle manufacturers, we contribute to advances in automotive through highly durable products, a wide array of microcontroller product families, and a global development framework.

We are advancing full HD video support for digital cameras, mobile phones, surveillance cameras, and in-vehicle cameras based on the world's first LSI technology supporting H.264 and implementing real-time compression and decompression of full HD. We are also working on new image-processing technology. We realize new digital video environments using a wide range of video-processing LSI technologies such as transcoder and codec ASSPs that implement full HD recording capabilities with low power consumption.

Fujitsu Semiconductor boasts an unparalleled performance record and overwhelming technical prowess, including development of CPUs for the "next-generation supercomputer" being promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology; components enabling 100Gbps optical transmission; and ASICs for servers. We are providing cutting-edge technologies in the industrial field, which demands high performance and high reliability. Our competitive advantages include responding to customers' needs with fully featured IP and application-oriented technology, as well as being the world's leading supplier of 28nm-process ASIC through our unique Fab-Lite business model.
