Fujitsu Media Devices and Taiyo Yuden Agree on Communication Devices Business Transfer
Yokohama, September 28, 2009 - Fujitsu Media Devices Limited and Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd. today announced that they have made an agreement on the transfer of Fujitsu Media Devices' communication devices business to Taiyo Yuden. The two companies plan to conclude a definitive transfer contract in the near future, and to complete the transfer by March 31, 2010.
Fujitsu Media Devices' communication devices business encompasses the development, manufacturing, and sale of products such as SAW filters and SAW duplexers for mobile communication systems. The decision to transfer the business to Taiyo Yuden was reached after reviewing the future direction of the company's overall business.
