Today, our planet Earth is faced with various emerging environmental issues including global warming. Resolution of such issues is increasingly becoming urgent and crucial for the future of humankind.

With the goal of minimizing environmental problems as a business entity, we have been committed to developing eco-friendly products as well as reducing our energy consumption and waste emissions.
We have also obtained ISO14001 certification^(*1) as Fujitsu Media Devices’s group to systematically promote environmental improvement efforts. This certification is an international standard for environmental management systems.

With "business activities coexisting with nature" as our corporate environmental mission, the entire work force will continue to promote eco-friendly activities.

In 2004, Fujitsu Media Devices's group companies in Japan received Fujitsu Group's integrated ISO14001 certification.

FMD’s Environmental Policy

"Corporate activities living together with natural environment ".

1. We execute the environmental management system complying with ISO 14001 and continue improvement.
2. We adhere to the environmental laws, regulations, and agreements that are applicable to corporate activities.
3. We prevent environmental pollution by recognizing the influence of corporate activities on the environment.
4. We eliminate harmful substance in our products.
5. We optimize the use of energy against global warming.
6. We execute the following business activities as most important environment
   control theme :
   
   • Development, production, and sales of environment-friendly products (Green Product)
   • Promotion of Green Purchasing
   • Reduction of CO2 emission
   • Reduction of wastes
   • Reduction of harmful substance emission
   • Efficient use of natural resources
7. In order to achieve these policies, we set up environmental objectives and targets, and review once or more per year.
